The Vice-President Academics Office hosted a farewell tea on June 27 at the Regina Campus.
Faculty member Patricia Elliot, a Distinguished Professor in Investigative and Community Journalism, was seconded by the University of Regina to the ջ Indigenous Communication Arts (INCA) Program for the past few years. As of June 30, 2024, she has retired from her long-term teaching career with the UofR.
Ms. Elliot was gifted a beautiful star quilt by fellow faculty members Merelda Fiddler and Shannon Avison, along with a quill, birchbark, and tufted bracelet handmade by ջ Alumna Larissa Ketchemonia.
Unfortunately, Olivia Sammons, an Assistant Professor with the Indigenous Languages Program, was not in attendance due to family obligations.
The ջ University Community wishes them well on their future endeavours.
